Handy decking risers for quick installation
Adjustable decking risers mounted directly on the foundation are the perfect solution for installing timber decking with our QuickClip® decking boards. Used in combination with Grad®'s aluminium joists, they ensure a solid foundation. Creating raised or floating deck is quicker and easier than ever when using them together.
We advise mounting decking risers at intervals of 60cm. The aluminium joists for our HOTwood decking boards can then be seamlessly clicked in place.
Advantages of adjustable risers
A single model of the adjustable decking risers can bridge height differences from 100mm to 1m. The same job would require four or five different conventional risers.
Using those risers, the height of the decking is a standard 100mm, consisting of riser plus aluminium joist (39mm) + clip (6mm) + decking board (20mm). Height can be easily adjusted using extensions. Adjustments of less than 125mm do not require extensions. Joist placement every 60cm.
Number of extensions required:
- No exensions: 100 to 125mm
- 1 pair: 130 to 175mm
- 2 pairs: 180 to 225mm
- 3 pairs: 230 to 275mm
- 4 pairs: 275 to 325mm*
NB: the height calculation takes into account wood 20 mm thick, a 6 mm clip and a 39 mm aluminium rail.
*For four or more extension pairs we advise using reinforcements, with two reinforcements needed per four extension pairs and one additional reinforcement per extension pair.
