The most durable bamboo decking boards
The solid bamboo decking boards in the Bamboo X-treme® collection by Moso® are made from compressed strips of thermo bamboo. Carpentier is the only dealer to supply them in combination with the unique Grad® mounting system, which ensures fast, easy installation and a seamless finish. We also supply edge boards to hide and protect the ends of the decking boards. If you opt to leave board ends uncovered, we advise you to apply a protective coat of wax oil to prevent end checking and cracking.
Our bamboo decking boards are PEFC and/or FSC® certified, and are the only durability class 1 bamboo decking on the market. Thanks to a unique, patented heat-treatment process, involving heat treatment rather than chemical processing, boards are extremely hard and stable. The 200°C thermal treatment also ensures that boards are not susceptible to mould. And bamboo decking boards not only have an exceptionally long lifespan and a beautiful, natural appearance, they are also outstanding in terms of environmental sustainability.
These heat-treated bamboo decking boards are pre-oiled. This means they remain smooth and stunning and take longer to go grey than our thermo ash decking boards for example. Bamboo decking boards acquire a sturdy look as they weather and turn an attractive range of grey tones..
Their slightly convex profile also ensures perfect water run-off. All of these advantages make bamboo an outstanding wood variety for intensive use, and an ideal solution for the sandy conditions of coastal project settings.

Installing a bamboo deck, quickly and easily
Carpentier supplies Moso® decking boards in thermal bamboo only in combination with the Grad® hidden mounting system. The underside of each plank has two grooves that can be effortlessly clicked onto pre-positioned clips mounted on aluminium joists. In short: this is an outstanding combination representing significant time savings for every woodworking professional!
Installation is fast and easy, and the bamboo decking boards are always perfectly aligned. The result: a beautiful deck that will last for years and is also an ecologically responsible choice!
Did you know?
If required, QuickClip® bamboo decking boards can be easily lifted using the Grad® dismantling keys – a convenient option when you need to access the area under a deck or want to create a new configuration. Another advantage is that these bamboo decking boards can be reassembled very easily.
Bamboo decking maintenance
Our Moso® Bamboo X-treme® decking boards require regular maintenance. With the sun, the wind and the rain, the surface of the boards will become lighter and greyer in colour, giving them a very natural look. We recommend you clean your bamboo decking once a year, or as needed, with Woca Exterior Wood Cleaner or Woca Exterior Deep Cleaner. Once the decking is completely dry, you can then apply Woca Exterior Wood Oil Teak to protect the boards.
