Side elements such as wooden shutters or side panels in wood can be added to an open extension or patio cover, and can be designed to integrate seamlessly into the existing structure. Once in place, they can help extend the outdoor season well into the chillier months - ideal for anyone who can’t get enough of the garden!

We can supply a large assortment of durable cladding for modern extensions, in a choice of many sustainable wood varieties and suitable for vertical or horizontal alignment. We also offer a range of finishes that are both protective and aesthetically pleasing. Feel free to consult our wood experts about your specific project.

For modern patio covers for extensions and free-standing gazebos, please browse our specially designed louvered roofs. Created in HOTwood ash, these are also supplied as ready-to-assemble kits. With moveable louvers that can be adjusted to any desired angle, they keep the space cool in the summer heat. Carpentier is currently the only supplier of patio covers that incorporate a louvered roof.
Extension in traditional English style or tailor-made patio cover
A Carpentier extension in a traditional English design in oak is an exclusive, high-quality investment. We supply beautiful oak or poplar roof boards that are very easy to install thanks to tongue-and-groove joints on two or four edges.
An English-style roofed patio has a robust look, and is also available as a made-to-measure free-standing gazebo. Both are supplied as ready-to-assemble kits.

If you prefer to visit our showroom, please let us know so that we can plan an appointment. We will be happy to discuss your project in detail and provide you with any technical or aesthetic advice you may need.
We will continue to tweak your design until everyone is completely happy, from the carpenter to the roofer to the garden designer to the end customer. When necessary we can consult an outside architect for further advice.
