Finishes for Douglas fir ceilings
Given its attractive price, a Douglas fir ceiling is a very interesting option for anyone looking for a colour finish to complement an interior design scheme. Whatever your style, Douglas fir offers plenty of possibilities. Architects like to combine Douglas fir with oak trusses for a classic look, or with cream accents for a more modern feel. This sustainable variety of European softwood is also available in a brushed and charred finish. And with its attractive grain, a Douglas fir ceiling exudes a natural beauty when left unfinished too. Douglas fir is naturally strong and highly durable.
We are always happy to advise customers on the latest trends, and our experienced wood specialists can ensure a top-quality finish every time.

Poor acoustics can cause major problems in a space. With this in mind, Carpentier has designed acoustic ceiling solutions that combine the natural beauty of wood with optimum sound absorption. Our efficient, aesthetically pleasing solutions soften sounds and reduce reverberations in the home. For spaces that are particularly prone to reverberations, we advise using acoustic ceiling panels. The special construction of the wood panels and the addition of a glass wool slab both help the panels to absorb undesired sound waves for perfect acoustic effects. Our Douglas fir ceiling panels are just one of the many profiles in our assortment that we can adapt specifically for use as acoustic ceiling panels. And since they work so well with oil finishes, we can finish them completely to your specifications.
