Our handy decking installation accessories
Decking risers
The Grad® decking risers are ideal for installing a raised or floating deck using our QuickClip® decking boards. Unlike conventional decking risers, a major advantage of these universal decking risers is their ability to bridge height differences from 100mm to 1m using only a single model. Moreover, you can create a solid base for the wooden deck of your choice by simply clicking on aluminium joists for our HOTwood decking boards.
Aluminium joist
Our QuickClip® decking boards always come with the invisible Grad® installation system consisting of black coated aluminium joist with pre-mounted clips. In some spots, for example when working around a tree situated in the middle of a deck, you may need to deviate from standard positioning and place joists closer together. Whatever the situation, you can always purchase additional aluminium joists for decking to achieve a seamless finish on the edges and corners of your wooden deck.
Elastomer strip per roll
For the best acoustic results, we advise applying a 2mm elastomer strip to the underside of the aluminium joists when installing decking without decking risers. The elastomer strip provides a layer of insulation between the aluminium joists and the foundation, which helps keep reverberations to a minimum in decking installed on gravel or stabilized sand.
Clip grip
In the event of an impact, decking boards fitted using clips can slide. Glue is often used to ensure they remain in place. However, this means that our QuickClip® decking loses its circular character. That’s why we have come up with the Grad® clip grip that fits perfectly around the Grad® clip. The clip grip’s teeth lock the decking boards firmly onto the aluminium rail, without stopping them from being easy to dismantle. One clip grip per board is enough to prevent any sliding.
Top Cube
With the Grad® Top Cube attachment support, edge boards can be installed seamlessly with no visible nails or screws. Simply attach the Top Cube to the aluminium joists, then finish your deck quickly and easily.
Disassembly keys
The Grad® disassembly keys are another tool that will help woodworking professionals enhance their efficiency. They make it easy to remove one or more QuickClip® decking boards with no risk of damage – a convenient option when you need to access the area under a deck or want to create a new configuration.
Top Link
The Grad® Top Link is a convenient tool for creating stable end-to-end joins between aluminium joists and insuring perfect spacing. Just click the link piece in place to join the last clip on one joist and the first clip of the next. Your wooden decking is stable and durably locked in place.
