Carpenter supplies everything you need to install and finish timber cladding quickly and easily. This makes us the one-stop shop for carpenters, roofers and contractors.
Our QuickClip® timber cladding always comes with the invisible Grad® installation system consisting of black coated aluminium joists with pre-mounted clips. Finishing around doors and windows may sometimes require a deviation from the standard 60cm spacing. Or you may need to place joists closer together in some places. Whatever the situation, you can always purchase additional aluminium joists for cladding, for a seamless finish on your exterior timber cladding.
The Grad® clips are also available separately, so you can add additional ones to the aluminium joists where needed. The clips are also a good solution in cases when a 12mm aluminium joist is too thick or when wooden joists are already in place, for example. Simply attach the clips directly to the existing surface to achieve a seamless finish with our QuickClip® profiles.
When cladding is installed vertically, the weight of the boards and the effects of gravity could cause boards to slide. Glue is often used to ensure they remain in place. However, this means that our QuickClip® cladding loses its circular character. That’s why we have come up with the Grad® clip grip that fits perfectly around the Grad® clip and prevents the cladding from sliding.
A set of Grad® disassembly keys makes it easy to remove QuickClip® boards. These come in handy when cladding needs to be disassembled, for instance to replace a board or to access electrical wiring behind the timber cladding.
Exterior thermal wood cladding can even be fully removed and reassembled with no damage to boards.
As your one-stop shop, Carpentier can also provide waterproof, UV-resistant membranes for use under cladding. These protect the underlying wooden structure against the effects of wind, moisture and dust. Rolls are 1.5m wide and 50m long. The variant for use behind cladding with open joints (up to 50mm) has enhanced UV-resistance and meets Euro fire class B-s1, d0 standards for fire resistance. Both membranes feature integrated self-adhesive strips.
If you install our timber cladding without aluminium joists, you will need to install battens, which we also supply.
Our spruce battens are made from autoclave-impregnated wood in black or green for durability.
Dimensions: 12 x 55mm
Clips are pre-mounted
Please note: Aluminium rails have a black coating (RAL 9005) to create a dark background for gaps of up to 10mm. The paint on the rails may become chipped during transport and handling. Any minor chips that are visible in wide gaps can be touched up with black paint. This is very easy to do, but is the builder or fitter’s responsibility. The black coating may fade over time. To avoid this, we advise customers to have aluminium rails anodised when using profiles with gaps of more than 10mm.
