A poplar ceiling insulates the roof structure, and also provides a support for whatever covering you choose for your roof. Poplar roof boards also keep out wind and rain and provide both sound and temperature insulation.
Carpentier has roof boards in a wide range of sustainable wood varieties such as oak, poplar and Douglas fir. Our poplar roof boards are highly affordable and will complement any oak-framed building beautifully. We can even oil our poplar roof boards so they blend seamlessly with our oak beams.

Poplar boards
Our poplar tongue and groove ceiling is available in a shiplap (SB2) profile and dimensions of 20mm x 190mm (coverage 170mm).
Poplar wood is generally left unfinished.
If desired, we can apply a brushed finish or a colour treatment to poplar roof boards in our own workshop. For example, pairing poplar roof boards with our oak beams works really well.
