LVL beams consist of several thin layers of veneer wood bonded together under high pressure. This build-up creates a particularly strong and stable beam, with high dimensional stability and reliable technical performance. That is precisely why LVL beams are a smart choice in timber constructions where precision and load-bearing capacity matter.
We offer two types of laminated veneer lumber (LVL):
LVL-P offers particularly high strength and stiffness in the lengthwise direction and is therefore well suited to beams, studs and columns. LVL-C, on the other hand, performs more strongly perpendicular to the grain and is therefore more often used for panels and lintels.
Choose LVL-P when strength and stiffness in the lengthwise direction are decisive, for example for beams, studs and columns. For panels and lintels, where the load acts perpendicular to the grain, LVL-C is the better choice. This way, you always have a structural element that exactly matches the technical requirements of your project.
