1. Preparatory phase
Before the execution starts, we work everything out together down to the smallest details, right up to the position of the sockets, switches and light points. This is done very easily with our handy app, which quickly visualises your dream home in timber and draws up a quote on the spot. Your building project gets off to a flying start!
2. Production phase
The timber frame walls are manufactured with attention to detail in our workshop using bio-based and circular materials. Thanks to the app, we can perfectly prepare all elements with our computer-controlled CNC machines, so that all walls fit together neatly and fewer mistakes happen on site. Moreover, the dry construction method means that the interior finishing and the installation of the timber cladding can follow immediately. This results in considerable time savings.
3. Construction and finishing phase
In just a few days we assemble these timber frame walls into a wind- and watertight shell. If you opt for timber cladding, we can install it straight afterwards. Thanks to the invisible fixing, you are assured of a seamless finish. The fact that no nails or screws are visible also adds aesthetic value to your timber home.

Timber construction is a building method in which wood is the main structural material. The load-bearing structure of your home or outbuilding consists of wooden walls, floors and roofs, which Carpentier produces as prefab elements in our workshop. On average, a timber house costs the same as a traditional house with the same finish and energy performance. The price mainly depends on the size, the design, the façade finish and the level of interior finishing. Yes, wood is the only building material that is renewable and stores CO₂ instead of emitting it. Our wood comes from sustainably managed European forests with PEFC or FSC® certification, and its production requires far less energy than concrete or steel. Thanks to prefabrication, the wind- and watertight structure of your home is up within days to weeks. While the foundations are being poured, we are already producing the walls, floors and roofs in our workshop. Because it is a dry construction method, there is no drying time to wait for and finishing can start right away. You often move in months earlier than with traditional construction.
Wood naturally insulates up to ten times better than concrete, and the insulation fills the entire thickness of the walls. That means a slimmer wall with a higher insulation value and more usable living space. A timber house easily meets today's energy performance requirements and is perfectly suited to a nearly zero-energy or passive house.
A timber house is at least as fire-safe as a traditional house. Wood burns predictably and slowly: the outer layer chars and protects the core, so the structure retains its load-bearing capacity for a long time. In addition, the walls are finished with fire-resistant boards and insulation, so the house meets all legal fire regulations.
A correctly built timber house has no problems with moisture, mould or insects. The secret lies in the detailing: a vapour-open build-up, good ventilation of the façade and a well-designed connection to the foundations keep the wood dry. Dry wood is simply of no interest to mould or woodworm.
The timber structure itself is maintenance-free; only a wooden façade needs occasional attention. If you opt for natural greying, you do not even have to do anything.
