Trend colours for outdoors

Wood gains even more character with the right colour. That's why, alongside natural, black and grey tones, our range of wood finishes also includes a selection of trend colours. This lets you give cladding, gates, fences and other outdoor applications a signature of their own, without compromising on refinement or coherence. The colours can be applied to various wood varieties and look great on a wide range of profiles, from fine slats to broad boards, fitted horizontally or vertically.

Colours in our outdoor range

  • Shades of brown: Wenge, Espresso, Bizon
  • Off-black: Nori, Charcoal
  • Boldly chic: Matcha, Emeraude
  • Earthy cool: Dune, Taupe

Colour harmony in the exterior

A successful exterior finish is all in the details. The right colour reinforces the architecture, brings calm or just the right contrast, and lets wood speak even more powerfully. At the same time, an oiled or stained finish does more than simply beautify. It helps protect the wood against wind and weather and dirt, so your project stays beautiful for longer.

Our trend colours for outdoors were developed in collaboration with Francq Colors and Hilde Francq. Together we sought out colours that feel current but are not trend-sensitive. Shades that bring character without quickly becoming tiresome. You can opt for a single continuous colour for a calm overall look, or combine different shades for more dynamism.

Shades of brown

Dive into a world of timeless elegance with our warm brown tones.

Wenge gives wood a deep, powerful look with an almost charred intensity. A distinctive shade that immediately brings presence. Espresso is rich and dark, with a luxurious undertone that lends the material more depth. Bizon looks understated and strong at the same time. This dark brown tone works particularly well on larger surfaces and creates a calm, refined appearance.

Off-black

Looking for the power of black, but just a touch softer?

Then Nori is a strong choice. This deep, dark tone balances between black and anthracite, making it feel less harsh. Nori brings calm to the whole and fits perfectly within sober, refined architecture where material and the interplay of lines are allowed to speak for themselves.

Boldly chic

Some projects call for more daring. That's when bold colours add just that extra accent.

Matcha is a green shade with a natural, almost organic look. It evokes images of moss, landscape and hidden greenery. Emeraude has more depth and more presence. This rich green tone evokes emerald and makes a striking yet stylish colour statement.

The most beautiful colour is the one that reinforces your project without imposing itself. That is exactly what we sought out together with Francq Colors: shades that feel timeless and only truly come to life on wood.

Earthy cool

Neutral shades remain a strong basis for outdoor use. They bring softness, balance and timeless elegance.

Dune feels light, calm and natural. A soft colour that does not take centre stage, yet gives the wood a refined appearance. Taupe seeks the balance between grey and beige. The cool undertone makes this shade contemporary, while the earthy base provides warmth.

Tip from our wood professionals

Our on-trend outdoor colours also work particularly well indoors. This way you can carry the same colour language through from façade to wall or ceiling, creating more calm and cohesion throughout.

A fine example of this can be seen in the modern home in Noordwijk, where the on-trend colour Bizon was applied to both the timber cladding and the wooden walls inside, both in thermo ash.
