Forestique: modular timber homes that grow with your life

Forestique stands for modular homes in timber. We prepare the building components in our workshop and assemble them on your site, so that your home is often wind- and watertight within just a few weeks. And because you build with modules, your house grows along with whatever comes later. We developed four home types, from a compact starter home to a spacious family home: a type for every stage of life.

Timber home with black vertical cladding and a gabled roof, with a garden terrace among autumn trees.

A home for every stage

You build a home for life. But your life today looks very different from how it will look, say, twenty years from now. With Forestique you build what you need now, without worrying about what comes later.

Because you build with modules, you can extend effortlessly later on. If you need more space, you simply add a module: an extra bedroom, a study, a larger living area.

Forestique Cyriel: home with vertical timber cladding between brick houses on a street.

Cyriel

The detached starter home, entirely on one level under a flat roof. Everything on a single floor, plenty of light and an open living area that flows out into the garden. Add a canopy for sheltered outdoor living. Ideal to start with, and flexible enough to later become a pool house, garden office or senior living home.

Forestique Urbain: narrow townhouse with black timber cladding between two brick houses, resident in the open front door.

Urbain

The compact townhouse that cleverly builds upwards. On the ground floor your living area, on the upper floor the bedrooms and the bathroom. Opt for a flat roof and you stay at two levels. With a pitched roof you gain a full-height attic floor. Made for narrow plots, with a layout where not a square metre goes to waste.

Forestique Modest: two storey home with a dark façade and large windows, in a wintry garden with bare trees.

Modest

The home that grows with your family. You combine the modules into the layout you want, with a patio that draws the light inside. And if you need more space later? Then you build a floor on top, under a flat or pitched roof. Compact on your plot, with all the room to extend upwards.

Forestique Lucien: single storey home in an L shape with timber cladding, integrated carport and gravel driveway.

Lucien

The spacious family home that stretches out entirely on one level. Where Modest can build upwards, Lucien grows outwards: you combine the modules in different directions into a broad whole on a single level, with room for a carport, a patio and a garage. Everything on the ground floor, everything accessible.

Beautiful outside, comfortable inside

What you notice straight away are the clean lines, the warm timber façades and the large glazed sections that open your home up to the garden. What you notice less but certainly feel is the comfort: a pleasant indoor climate, a home that uses energy sparingly and that feels quiet and warm the moment you step inside. Beautifully finished, and entirely yours.

Wood instantly feels right. It gives your home a warm, natural character. Wood is a pleasure to look at and a pleasure to live in. In short, a home the neighbours are secretly jealous of.

A finish you choose yourself

The façade defines the face of your home. At Forestique you choose from a broad range of timber cladding, from fine vertical lines to calm, flat surfaces, in the shade that suits you. Want control over sun and privacy? Then add sun shades in the same wood, so everything ties together beautifully.

Frequently asked questions about modular building

These are the questions we are asked most often about modular building in timber. Can't find your question here? Feel free to ask our team.

  • How long does it take to build a Forestique home?

Constructing your Forestique home is remarkably fast, often in just a few weeks. Do bear in mind, however, that the permit process and preparation time also count towards the total. On average you can reckon on a lead time of about a year from signing the contract to completion. Would you like to know what this means concretely for your project? Feel free to get in touch with us for a tailored estimate.

  • Are modular or prefab homes of good quality?

Prefabricated homes are certainly in no way inferior to traditionally built homes. The construction is durable and strong: like other homes, modular homes last for several generations thanks to high-quality, durable materials. What's more, the modules are made in ideal conditions in our workshop, which ensures better quality and quality control.

  • Are there any disadvantages to modular building?

Yes, one: you build within a fixed grid of modules, so not every shape or size is possible. Within that grid you still have plenty of combinations, and you can easily extend later.

  • Can I extend my Forestique home later on?

Yes, that's exactly the idea behind Forestique. You build what you need now and add a module later, for example an extra bedroom or an office. With the Modest type you can even build a storey on top. Let us know during the first conversation if you want to extend later, so that your home can be prepared for this right from the design stage.
