Reclaimed oak beams

Some materials bring more to the table than just strength. Reclaimed oak beams carry the traces of time, use and history, and that is precisely what gives them their value. They are particularly well suited to the restoration of listed heritage and other buildings where authenticity must be preserved, from abbeys and monasteries to farmhouses, mansions and town halls. They also come into their own in new projects with a distinctive, lived-in atmosphere.

The origin of our reclaimed oak beams

We recover our reclaimed oak beams from characterful buildings, farmhouses and castles that are no longer in use. This is followed by a rigorous selection based on quality and usability. Among other things, we make sure that the beams have at least two to three sides free of holes.

After selection, they are cleaned up and visibly stripped of nails. This preserves their authentic character, while the beam is ready for a new application.

Applications: from restoration to architectural accent

Reclaimed oak beams are perfect for creating roof trusses. In a renovated farmhouse, a mansion or a project with historical references, they instantly bring atmosphere, relief and a sense of authenticity. They enhance both a rural interior and a sleeker concept that benefits from a robust contrast.

These beams can also play a very different role. As a sturdy alternative to our HOTwood ash Pillar line profile, they give façades extra depth and presence. In this application, they function for example as outdoor sun shading or as an architectural element that creates greater privacy.
