Oak waney-edged boards

Anyone working with oak waney-edged boards is looking for more than just volume. Colour, grain, growth and quality all contribute to the final result. That is why at Carpentier we select our QBA-quality oak waney-edged boards with great care. QBA comes from our finest tree trunks, chosen on the basis of colour, growth rings and external knots. In addition, QB1 and QB2 are also available as standard. We supply other qualities on request.

From stock or sawn to order

In our own sawmill we cut oak tree trunks in a wide range of thicknesses, both for stock and to order. For certain projects we select the wood while still in the forest, based on quality, diameter and length, after which we saw it to the desired dimensions.

This approach gives us greater control over the end product and allows us to respond very precisely to what a project requires. Whether it concerns a specific thickness, a particular trunk quality or a beautiful colour pattern: the selection begins early.

To order or from stock

The oak tree trunks are cut in various thicknesses in our own sawmill. We saw the oak waney-edged boards both for stock and to order. We regularly select oak in the forest for certain customers based on quality, diameter and length, before sawing it to the desired thickness.
