General

  • Various QuickClip® profiles available with and without the Grad® fixing system:
  • aluminium joists (12 x 55 mm) with pre-mounted clips, to be installed every 60 cm
  • (1.9 lm of substructure per m²)
  • Please note: during transport, handling or installation, minor damage may occur to the charred top layer, which is inherent to the characteristics of charred wood. Carpentier cannot be held responsible for this.
  • For vertical installation with aluminium joists: for a stable and circular assembly, we strongly recommend using Grad® clip grips. This handy tool locks the façade boards firmly onto the aluminium rail and prevents them from slipping under gravity. One clip grip per groove is sufficient for each board.

Charred wood cladding, unique and made to measure

Using the Shou Sugi Ban technique, we create a black charred layer in our own workshop that gives every project a unique, weathered appearance.

  1. From deep black to lightly toasted
    Our cladding is available in various shades, depending on the wood variety, the strength of the flame and the intensity of the subsequent brushing.
  2. Charred ash and Accoya for outdoor use
    For quality reasons, we only include charred ash and charred Accoya in our outdoor price list. We recommend other wood varieties for interior use only.
  3. Combinable with the Grad® mounting system
    Our charred profiles combine perfectly with the invisible Grad® system for a seamless result without nails or screws.
  4. Ignite as a budget-friendly alternative
    Want the charred look without the charred layer? Then our Ignite profile is a stylish, low-maintenance alternative, suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
