From now on, you can give your façade a stylish open appearance with our closed cladding in knot-free thermo softwood. Also suitable for interior use.
Architects and interior designers often prefer timber cladding with an open joint because of its clean look or the playful effect created by the shadow between the boards. The choice between an open or a closed joint therefore largely depends on the visual aspect. That no longer needs to be a determining factor.
Carpentier introduces an innovative solution that makes it possible to achieve the clean look and playful shadows of an open joint with closed cladding. We apply this new development to the vertical Piano profile from our range of thermo Clear Pine cladding. Thanks to black-painted lines in the grooves of the panel, a deeper dimension is created that produces the illusion of an open joint. This unique timber cladding for indoor and outdoor use therefore cleverly mimics cladding with open joints.
Naturally beautiful and sustainable
Sustainability is embedded in Carpentier's DNA. When developing our products, we therefore consciously opt for sustainable solutions. For instance, we only use sustainable wood varieties sourced from sustainably managed forests. Our Piano Stripes profile is made from thermo Clear Pine. This beautiful wood is highly durable, stable and naturally knot-free. It can be used both indoors and outdoors, untreated or with a further finish (brushed, oiled, etc.). Left untreated, the warm colour of the thermally modified wood will weather beautifully over time, creating a natural, elegant appearance.
The black lines that we can optionally provide to create an open-joint look are sprayed in the workshop with a sustainable, water-based paint. They create a deep shadow effect and accentuate the clean lines of the building. Indoors, the addition of the black lines in the grooves of the wood panelling brings dynamism to the interior. The front section of the panels can be brushed or treated in a colour shade, allowing architects and designers to give free rein to their creativity. This innovative solution therefore offers broader design possibilities.
INTERESTED IN OUR CLOSED PIANO PROFILE WITH OPEN-JOINT LOOK?
Our Piano Stripes profile is part of our QuickClip® range. We therefore offer this profile in combination with the unique Grad® mounting system, which guarantees seamless and fast installation of the cladding or wall. This results in a major time saving and as much as 50% savings on installation costs. Since our QuickClip® profiles are easy to dismantle, this innovation also lends itself perfectly to circular construction. After a refresh, our timber profiles can simply be reattached, giving our Piano profile an excellent ecological footprint and a strong score in terms of circularity.
Our QuickClip® products are circular. You can easily unclip and remove the timber profiles using a set of dismantling keys.
If desired, you can therefore fully dismantle and reassemble the wood cladding without any damage.
Do make sure to always avoid using glue in order to safeguard the circularity of our QuickClip® products. The clip grip is a handy tool and preserves the circular character.
SUITABLE FOR INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR
Our closed timber cladding with an open-joint look is suitable for many applications, in both new builds and renovations. Think, for example, of a rooftop extension in timber-frame construction, where the Piano Stripes profile as cladding not only provides a contemporary appearance but also protects the façade against the effects of wind and weather.
Indoors, this innovative profile also looks particularly stylish. With its clean design, this wood panelling – which is also perfectly suited for finishing ceilings – can be used in any room of the home. The Piano Stripes profile also offers a tasteful solution for commercial applications in offices, restaurants or hotels, instantly improving the acoustics and reducing echo in the room.
