HOTwood bamboo decking boards combine exceptional strength with a refined finish, developed for outdoor spaces where appearance, durability and ease of use matter.
HOTwood bamboo decking boards combine exceptional hardness with a refined appearance. You choose a sustainable decking board that withstands intensive use, ages beautifully and also offers plenty of advantages in installation and finishing.
We offer a 25-year guarantee on our HOTwood bamboo decking boards. Bamboo is the fastest-growing plant on the planet and has a negative CO₂ footprint across its entire life cycle.
One point to note: always treat uncovered end grain with a wax oil. This prevents end splits and small cracks and keeps your decking in top condition for years.
Bamboo decking retains its appearance best with regular maintenance. Through sun, rain and wind, the wood gradually takes on a lighter, grey tint with a natural look. If you want to preserve the protection and colour for longer, we recommend cleaning the decking annually or as needed with Woca Exterior Wood Cleaner or Woca Exterior Deep Cleaner. Once the surface is completely dry, reapply Woca Exterior Wood Oil Teak.
Upon physical impact, decking boards can slide along the clips. To ensure the boards stay neatly in place, installers often resort to glue. However, the use of glue causes the circularity of our QuickClip® products to be lost. That is why we recommend using the Grad® clip grip. This handy tool firmly locks the decking boards onto the aluminium joist, while the boards still remain easy to dismantle, thus retaining their circular character. One clip grip per board is sufficient to prevent shifting.
The right accessories also make all the difference when installing a timber deck. They ensure greater stability, smoother assembly and a result that is technically sound.
Grad® adjustable decking risers are ideal for an uneven surface or a raised deck. You simply clip the aluminium joists into place and bridge height differences from 100 mm to 1 metre with a single model.
There are also handy tools such as elastomer tape, clip grips, corner brackets and the Top Cube — every accessory helps you work faster, more accurately and with greater comfort. With the Grad® dismantling keys, you can easily unclip the boards again later for maintenance or adjustment.
With QuickClip® by Grad®, you install decking boards quickly, precisely and without visible fixings. The clips come pre-mounted on the aluminium joists, so all you need to do is click the pre-grooved boards into place. This makes for an effortless installation and a sleek end result, saving up to 50% of time on site.
QuickClip® by Grad® is also a circular system. Using dismantling keys, you can later unclip the boards without damaging them — for instance, if work is needed beneath the decking. Afterwards, you simply reinstall them just as easily.
