For this project for CURAM, a mental health care facility in Ypres, BEEL Architecten opted for a thoughtful combination of timber and concrete. The timber façade in a subtle green tint allows the building to blend harmoniously into its green surroundings and helps create an atmosphere of calm and recovery. At the same time, the timber cladding meets the required reaction-to-fire class for commercial buildings (B-s1,d0).
