For example, we can apply biobased insulation to the walls in advance, considerably increasing your speed and efficiency.
Carpentier supplies carefully prepared prefab elements in kit form, which you only have to assemble on site. This saves an enormous amount of time, which increases further if you also have the further finishing of the prefab walls built offsite. In our workshop, we can fit the panels for timber-frame construction with biobased insulation, a vapour barrier, timber cladding, conduits for electricity and other services, and so on. At Carpentier, we can sustainably insulate the walls in advance. We preferably use bio-based insulation such as wood fibre or hemp. These bio-based insulation materials are natural materials and contribute to a healthier and more comfortable indoor climate.
What makes Carpentier unique is that we can even fit the timber cladding onto your prefab walls in our workshop. This extra service saves you, as a timber-frame builder, even more time when assembling your prefab timber-frame construction. With our QuickClip® profiles, you are also assured of a seamless result, since the wooden boards are clipped onto aluminium joists, with no nails or screws involved. The correct positioning of the clips also ensures a perfect spacing between the boards straight away.
If the cladding is not yet pre-assembled in your kit, it can be fitted afterwards on site, as timber-frame construction is a dry building method. In addition to the cladding, you can also immediately install the wall panelling and ceiling panelling. With our high-quality QuickClip® profiles, this phase can be completed very quickly. The aluminium substructures are fitted with clips, onto which you simply click the wooden boards into place. The fact that no nails are visible adds aesthetic value to the timber-frame home, home extension or timber-frame roof addition.
